The hardware watchdog timer was designed for Intel Mini-ITX motherboards (D945GCLF, D525MW, and many others), to be fitted directly to the Front Panel Connection Header.
Base function is to monitor the power led pins and to trigger a short power-on signal at 1 minute after power led goes off.
A secondary function was added to also power-switch one USB port after an additional time interval.
