FTP Server sent passive reply with unroutable address

Solution for remote FTP Errors

Server sent passive reply with unroutable address. Using server address instead. (FileZilla) or Server reports local IP -> Redirect to (Total Commander FTP)

Warning

These settings are not recommended as best practice, it’s just a way that I found working!

On the ReadyNAS

• Masquerade as: put your dynamic dns name here
• Local port: 2122 (or any other port for which you get the successfully started popup message from Netgear web interface)
• Passive ports: 9000-65535

On the Router

• Forward public port: 21 to local port 2122 (or whatever you set on readynas)
• Forward public ports: 9000-65535 for passive mode

Test Equipment

• D-Link DI-524 as Router
